Professional Growth Planning (PGPs) Training

**Note** This is a repeat of the November 27th workshop for those not able to register for that class

Earn Clock Hours & Renew Your Certificate Using PGPs

Professional Growth Plans (PGPs) are job-embedded professional learning experiences for educators to renew their certificates and earn clock hours. PGPs are built from the work you are already doing. Certificated educators can complete one PGP per year (25 clock hours); they can renew their certificates with 4 PGPs every 5 years. PGPs are optional, but very popular among KEA and WEA members who know about this opportunity.

All certificated educators can complete PGPs - including teachers, CTE teachers, and Educational Staff Associates (ESAs).

This 3-hour training will help you

• understand the basics of PGPs
• consider what you might want to feature in a PGP, and
• begin drafting your PGP.

At the end of this training, participants can choose to sign up for an additional 2-part training (4 hours) to get feedback on and to sign-off on the completed PGP (date to be determined)

Participants who attend the full KEA/WEA PGP series will earn 7 clock hours on top of the 25 earned for completing a PGP

When:    Thursday, January 24th 5:00 - 8:00 pm (dinner at 4:30pm)

Dinner and all materials will be provided at no charge, courtesy of KEA.

Participants must be a KEA member to attend. If unsure of membership status, please call Becky at the KEA office 253.852.1350.

Limited to 48 participants. You will get immediate confirmation of your registration if there is room in the workshop when you register. If the class is full, you will be placed on a waiting list and and get confirmation of that as well. Clock hours qualify as TPEP hours.
