KEA Professional Development Opportunity "Creating & Implementing an Effective PGP"
Professional Growth Plans (PGPs): An Opportunity for Salary Advancement and Certificate Renewal
The Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB) created PGPs as a new, job-embedded professional development opportunity. PGPs are completed during a school year and are worth 25 clock hours. All certificated educators can use PGPs for salary advancement and certificate renewal. One PGP can be completed each year.
The Kent Education Association is offering a 3-part, 6 clock hour PGP training series to help members through the key steps of the process. Upon completion of these 3 modules, participants will leave with a completed PGP.
